The NRA has set the standard for firearms safety, education, and training.
The NRA Basic Pistol Course has all the standard material REQUIRED by the State of Missouri.
This course includes classroom and range time learning about revolvers and semi-automatic pistols and shooting the pistol type that you intend to use. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two-handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
We finish up the course with OUR Law briefing and qualification. This portion covers Missouri specific laws relating to the possession and use of firearms in relation to the personal defense of self, others, defense of property and the justifiable use of force, as well as a live-fire qualification.
